Child Support – Case Initiation Specialist


  • Provide responsive customer services to all stakeholders.
  • Process applications and referrals.
  • Establish new case records in the system.
  • Researches and assess cases for necessary actions.
  • Initiate locate activities for noncustodial parents.
  • Document initiate activities in the system.
  • Accurately completes necessary documentation and data entry activities in all systems.
  • Regularly communicates and updates the Supervisor/Lead on case status and production issues.
  • Maintain accuracy rate of 95 percent.
  • Ensures the confidentiality and security of all case information.
  • Meets all standards established for this position.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.


  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read and interpret complex court orders, income assignments, and other child support documentation
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
  • Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
