Bagger – General Labor
Job Summary:
The Bagger – General Labor position involves various tasks related to packaging products and general warehouse duties. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a sit-down forklift and will be responsible for ensuring products are accurately bagged, labeled, and prepared for shipment or storage. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bagging and Packaging: Accurately weigh, fill, and seal bags according to product specifications and company standards.
- Forklift Operation: Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move materials, load and unload products, and ensure the efficient flow of goods within the warehouse. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for defects and ensure that only high-quality items are packaged. Report any issues to the supervisor.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory levels for bagging materials and finished products. Notify the supervisor of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Labeling: Properly label all packaged products with the correct information, including product type, weight, and batch number.
- Equipment Operation: Operate bagging machinery and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Perform routine maintenance and report any malfunctions to the maintenance team.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all bagged products, including quantities, batch numbers, and any issues encountered during the bagging process.
- Housekeeping: Keep the work area clean and organized. Dispose of waste materials properly.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and meet production targets. Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Forklift Certification: Must have valid certification and experience operating a sit-down forklift.
